We are thrilled to announce that Asociatia Nuclee has a new Erasmus KA152 Erasmus+ project approved: “Gender Equality Through Theater and Arts.” Coordinated by Calderone, an organization dedicated to promoting arts and culture, this significant youth exchange program is set to make waves in 2024. Fully funded by the European Union and the Erasmus+ program, this initiative aims to harness the transformative power of the arts to foster gender equality.

The program’s core theme revolves around promoting gender equality through the arts, particularly theater. It seeks to:

  • Eliminate gender stereotypes
  • Combat gender-based discrimination and violence
  • Use art as a powerful tool for raising awareness and driving societal change.

Participating countries: Greece, Romania, Turkey, Serbia, Italy

Objectives of the project:

This youth exchange program is anticipated to offer a unique platform for young individuals aged 18-29 to:

  • Collaborate creatively with peers from different cultural backgrounds
  • Engage in learning experiences that broaden their perspectives on gender issues
  • Develop and showcase theatrical projects that highlight and address gender equality
  • Strengthen intercultural understanding and cooperation

Art has long been a conduit for social change, and this program underscores its potential to challenge and transform societal norms. By focusing on gender equality, the initiative aims to:

  • Foster a deeper understanding of gender-related issues among young people
  • Promote artistic expression as a means of advocacy and education
  • Build a network of young advocates committed to creating a more equitable world
